Sofie Wells and Ali Barclay are the Philadelphia-based sister duo behind The Tales of Charlie Wags. Raised in a family of immigrants, they grew up immersed in cultural diversity and a worldview shaped by curiosity and connection. Their parents prioritized travel, even on a tight budget, instilling a lasting belief that travel is one of the greatest forms of education. Recognizing that many families do not have the opportunity to explore the world firsthand, Sofie and Ali created the Charlie Wags series to brings real places to young readers—no passport required.
