A German saboteur landed from a German submarine on the shores of Bethany Beach in 1942. He makes his way to a farm on Woodland Avenue owned by German sympathizers and frees a German scientist who is a prisoner at the POW camp in Bear Trap, Delaware. He makes his way back to Germany but during his brief stay in Ocean View, he meets and falls in love with a young women who also has a farm on Woodland Avenue.
It is a story of love of family, survival and people making difficult choices. It also captures how the horrors of war are lived at a very personal level.
